VMWare Client for Mac?

I think that it is ridiculous people are requesting VMWare console ported to Mac as it really is not necessary.

    Nice post,

    But I have one problem.

I’m running esxi, have access to it over ssh.
    But can’t run the gui.

When I type vmware, the response is
    vmware: no option specified
vmware -v –version Get version information for vmkernel
    -h –help Print this menu

    any suggestions ?

    Same problem as Bart.
ESXi has a bunch of stuff missing from the ESX release.
There doesnt appear to be an X11 VMWare console any more.

Otherwise I would have loved the idea.

  3. I’m also having this issue, but we’re using ESX 4. Looking for options, where are they listed?

  4. Dan says:

    Receiving the following error..

    /usr/bin/vmware: local UI not supported

Can you supply the version of MacOS and ESX you are using in that demo?

    :back to the drawing board:

    I wasn’t using ESX my friend, I was using VMWare Server 1.06 / 1.07 (can’t remember).
Sorry I should really point that out.
    Thanks for the comment.
